History

 

A.C.E. Inc. was founded in 2000 by the Utley family of Anderson Indiana. The Utleys began producing military components in a small building adjacent to their home in 2000. A.C.E. has grown significantly now residing in an 11,000 square foot facility. The company has obtained over 300 Department of Defense contracts and over 100 commercial contracts. The primary portion of this work has been in the Electronic/Electrical Design and Assembly markets and A.C.E. plans to continue expansion in these markets.

The A.C.E. Engineering Department has provided design services for firms such as Altairnano, Enerdel, Xtreme Alternative Defense Systems, Baker Ballistics, Air Lift Services, Clipper Creek, ECC, Department of Defense, DCMA, DLA, and many more. The company will continue providing Department of Defense support by design and manufacture of wiring harnesses, circuit card assemblies, and heavy-duty electrical truck components.

We have increased our focus on Printed Circuit Board Design (PCB). We are considered experts in the use of Ultiboard and Multisim, products of National Instruments. We use these high tech design softwares to simulate Circuits with Spice tools and to capture Electrical Schematics. Multisim and Ultiboard contain powerful design tools and error checking tools that are superior to other printed circuit board design software packages.

Todd Utley, the President of ACE, is a 1985 graduate of Madison Heights High School and a 1994 Highest Honors Graduate of ITT Technical institute in Indianapolis Indiana. Mr. Utley also attended Ball State University of Muncie Indiana where he studied Manufacturing Technology. His career has led him through a variety of Manufacturing and Engineering environments where he accumulated a diversified portfolio of experience including Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Tool & Die Design.
